This so-called “village of a thousand treasures” just a few minutes from Aix-les-Bains, was the main regional port between the 12th and 16th centuries.

Straddling the Savières canal and the River Rhône, Chanaz invites visitors to wander through its picturesque lanes for an insight into the local artisans who still keep the traditions alive. Oil is pressed in the mill to this day and a delicious fair-trade coffee will draw you into the roastery.
